Although audacity supports most of the VST plug-ins available out there, it doesn't support VSTi or VST instruments plugins. These include effects such as synth, guitar and so on. Audacity also does not support real-time effects or effects that can change the audio data simultaneously as they are being played. Oz 16 May 2019 at 15 h 38 min. Actually, 32-bit dlls DO work on 64. It depends on the VST Host. DAWs like Reaper does very well at supporting both 32 and 64bit VST’s. Also, a side note: Please consider addressing people with respect.
To add a new VST effect most easily on Windows, put its DLL file into the 'Plug-Ins' folder where you have Audacity installed. On Mac, the easiest folder to put the plug-in's VST file in is /Library/Application Support/audacity/Plug-Ins. 7.)
